MASA FLOUR
LifeLine Foods manufactures three different product lines of yellow and white masa flours;
- Table tortilla flour- these table tortilla flours are used for the production of typical Mexican table tortillas. These products can be used as a thickener and flavor ingredient for Mexican sauces, chili, soups and tamale fillings in the prepared and frozen food industries, and as a flavor and texture ingredient for breads, muffins, crackers, and sweet rolls in the baking industry.
- Snack flours- these snack flours are designed primarily for the production of tortilla chips on high speed in-line processes. Can also be used as a thickener and flavor ingredient for Mexican sauces, chili, soups and tamale fillings in the prepared and frozen food industry. A variety of these flours are also used in the production of authentic Mexican style tortilla chips, taco and tostada shells. The course granulation allows minimal puffing without equilibration on high speed in-line direct frying. These products also performs well for hand fed frying of taco and tostada shells and batch frying of tortilla chips.
- Specialty flours- The specialty flour is designed for the use of production of traditional tamales. This product can also be used as a thickener and flavor ingredient for Mexican sauces, chili, soups and tamale meat fillings in the prepared and frozen food industries. This product can also be used as a flavor ingredient for breads, muffins, crackers, and sweet rolls in the baking industry.
